eth0 does not work when laptop battery is inserted

Bug description:
Steps to reproduce:
- shutdown Ubuntu
- start Ubuntu (thats important, do not use "reboot", you have to start
manually)
- wired networking does not work (Did not get IP address)
- shutdown Ubuntu
- remove laptop battery and unplug powercable
- undo last step
- boot Ubuntu
- wired Network does work perfectly.
the steps above can be repeated infinitely.
My network is ok, (checked with other devices), I have already updated the
BIOS.
This problem does appear at standby/hibernate/resume too.
Networking works under Win7.
