Public bug reported: Colour bandind is visible everywhere in the system, and it appeared after I had my integrated monitor replaced. I believe it's not a hardware problem, since booting with 'nomodeset' works as expected.
There were already two similar bugs, https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1749420 and https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788308, but the fixes provided for those bugs did not work for my specific monitor. I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 with kernel linux-image-4.15.0-34-generic, installing linux-image-4.18.8 with UKUU didn't help.
