The system can run stably for days, or it can start freezing randomly and I have to manually reset, or the system freezes and then reboots itself. Browsers are also affected, and I've not found one that doesn't randomly crash, though Opera is particularly affected. This is the hardware spec of my system: Computer Processor AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor Memory 32938MB (4021MB used) Machine Type Desktop Operating System Ubuntu 18.04 LTS User Name xxxxxxx Date/Time Dydd Mercher 09 mis Mai 2018 00:18:57 BST Display Resolution 5760x1080 pixels OpenGL Renderer GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2 X11 Vendor The X.Org Foundation md5sum was fine when I checked the intallation usb, and the fact that it's affected both 16.04 and 18.04 (though 18.04 significantly less) indicates there is a problem which I suspect is linked to the Nvidia graphics card in some way, as it's also been an issue with Second Life/OpenSimulator viewers that also randomly freeze requiring a hard reboot of the system.
