Public bug reported: Hello,
On HP laptop model 15-AC106NQ running Xubuntu 18.04 LTS I have upgraded the kernel from linux-image-4.15.0-23-generic 4.15.0-23.25 AMD64 Signed to the new kernel linux-image-4.15.0-24-generic 4.15.0-24.26 AMD64 Signed. After this, the computer boots to blank screen and is freezing. If I push random keys multiple times or if I keep switching between ttys, the computer shows after one minute the Xubuntu login screen. If I chose from the Grub menu the old linux-image-4.15.0-23-generic kernel, the computer boots very fast directly into graphic mode as it should. I was able to successfully use all the old Ubuntu/Xubuntu LTS versions on this HP laptop. Thank you. ** Affects: linux-signed (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kernel Packages, which is subscribed to linux-signed in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1780976 Title: After upgrading to linux-image-4.15.0-24-generic, Xubuntu 18.04 LTS boots to blank screen Status in linux-signed package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Hello, On HP laptop model 15-AC106NQ running Xubuntu 18.04 LTS I have upgraded the kernel from linux-image-4.15.0-23-generic 4.15.0-23.25 AMD64 Signed to the new kernel linux-image-4.15.0-24-generic 4.15.0-24.26 AMD64 Signed.
