A few years ago. I am trying to start using Linux but had to put this machine away for some time. Now I have come back to it to find this error. I have attempted to obtain updates and upgrades to no avail. I may try a different version of Linux if this does not work. Admittedly, it is an old portable computer but I did not like the idea of working equipment being sent for scrap or recycling. All the best.
