Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: I recently installed the latest Ubuntu on a new NV59 laptop and everything works great except that it freezes about once a day. The freeze is completely random and unpredictable half the time happening during the night (I come back to a frozen black screensaver screen in the morning) but also often during the day when I'm surfing the web or doing something else. The computer is on AC power and is set never to go to sleep. The image displayed on screen seems to freeze to whatever was showing, the mouse cursor stops moving and ctrl-alt- backspace or ctrl-alt-F1 doesn't do anything. Sound seems to continue working for a while. It once happened while I was having a skype conversation and I was able to continue the conversation for a minute or so after the screen stopped responding.
