There is no response like "<D:privilege><D:read/><D:write/></D:privilege>". On the other hand (not knowing the specifications) I am not sure if it would make sense for the adressbook. While it is possible to share calendars in Exchange and have different privileges for those, there is no adressbook sharing. At least as far as I know. So I assume one should have always write permissions to the adressbook?
