It's assuming you have the "Local Folders" account that KMail creates by default. 1. Open "Settings" → "Configure filters…" 2.1. Add a new filter 2.2. Add filter criteria "subject" "contains" "TEST" 2.3. Add to filter actions "Mark As" "Read". 3. Create a mail with subject "TEST", and use "Message"→ "Save as draft". 4. Select the saved mail in "drafts", then mark it as "Unread". 5. Use dragging to move the selected mail into "outbox" of "Local Folders" account. Result: it's still marked as "Unread". 6. Select the mail in "outbox", then mark it as "Unread". 7. Use dragging to move the selected mail into "inbox" of "Local Folders" account.
