            Bug ID: 495573
Summary: Kscreenlocker_greet unable to unlock and segfaults
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: kscreenlocker
           Version: git-stable-Plasma/6.2
          Platform: Arch Linux
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: gtp...@proton.me
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Leave the computer locked for a long time
2. Try to unlock it

OBSERVED RESULT
After typing the password, nothing happens. Clicking in the unlock button
doesn't start the validation, it's just stuck forever on the screen. Upon
further investigation, the logs showed it tried reading a nonexistant image; I
am not sure this is the root cause, as kscreen_locker itself changed to a valid
image after a while and was still unable to unlock

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 6.2.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.7.0
Qt Version: 6.8.0
Wayland + Amd
Linux arch 6.11.5-zen1-1-zen #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue, 22 Oct 2024
18:31:33 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This has been happening before this version, at least since KDE 6.1; I was
waiting to see if I could reproduce it before reporting (e.g I thought leaving
Android Studio/xwayland apps open were the root cause somehow, but this crash
has happened with everything closed and in standby)
