The problem I see is that kdiff3 enters fullscreen mode without any intervention from my part and it does so randomly. I don't even know how to enter fullscreen mode intentionally (I tried alt-F3 to enter fullscreen mode and it doesn't work). I asked my IT guy to install a more recent version of kdiff3, but he says the one installed (1.8.4) is the one that come by default on RHEL8. He is open to installing a more recent version but doesn't know where to find the binary file. Can you provide me instructions on how he could upgrade the version? That shortcut is configurable so it may have been changed. In case it will be the same for all kde based apps.
