Bug ID: 492570 Summary: Unable to open any applications via KRunner or Application Menu Classification: I don't know Product: kde Version: unspecified Platform: Arch Linux OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org Reporter: ranny.bergamo...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Unable to open any applications via KRunner or Application Menu STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open KRunner (I have it set to Super key, so I just press that) or Application Menu 2. Select any application OBSERVED RESULT The application never opens. Instead, a notification appears: (This is for System Settings, but applies to all other applications too) "Launching System Settings ( FAILED) Unit app-systemsettings@f180edeaac9241a8819855ecc5090879.service not found. " EXPECTED RESULT Application should open QUIRKS I will add, this is intermittent. Whenever I log on to a new session, for at least a minute opening apps will work fine. Then maybe sometimes the issue will arise. Sometimes it's fine. I'll get the issue maybe like 1-3 times per day. When it happens it usually only lasts like half an hour or so and then goes back to working fine. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux-Zen 6.9.7, Garuda Linux Plasma 6.1 KDE Frameworks Version: (will update when I get my terminal back) Qt Version: (will update when I get my terminal back) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Another user reported on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/1dmdv8e/cannot_launch_any_apps_after_kde_61_upgrade/ (will add kinfo and other diagnostic information when I get my terminal back) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
