Bug ID: 491907 Summary: Spectacle records empty files Classification: Applications Product: Spectacle Version: 24.05.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: General Assignee: noaha...@gmail.com Reporter: pallasw...@proton.me CC: k...@david-redondo.de Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY This: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=487949 STEPS TO REPRODUCE Exactly as per the linked bug. My system is a 3090 not 3080, 5900X not 5800X, 32GB not 64...they're very similar. All my messages and behaviour match. OBSERVED RESULT Saving as vp9/webm results in 425b file as reported Saving as MP4 it's 262b, and without the more verbose errors in the original report. The file in /tmp/Spectacle.XXXXXX is 0b the whole time. EXPECTED RESULT Recording videos is super handy! SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: 6.1.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.5.0 Qt Version: 6.7.2 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This was working for me just a few weeks back. I have had KF6 and pipewire updates since then, but no spectacle updates... OBS records video just fine, and everything appears the same in pipewire, there are no xruns. I hope that's useful. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
