Bug ID: 491786 Summary: NAS Problems Classification: Applications Product: digikam Version: 8.4.0 Platform: Microsoft Windows OS: Microsoft Windows Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: AdvancedRename-album Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: bernd.st...@web.de Target Milestone: --- Hello everyone, within my last bug-report for Version 8.0 I told you about problems with digikam. The installations ist local on drive C, but all databases and Files are located on NAS (QNAP) With windows all connections are perfect and work is good.. digikam 7.4 is working with out problems. Since Version 8.0. There are Problems as I told you last time. : Folders are not shown, files can not be copied, something works with this drive something not. That is the reason, why I was downgrading to version 7.4 and all is fine. But more and more I have Heic-files to manage. Digikam can do this, but only in database.. Writing in files is not possible.. Digikam Version 8.4 should solve this problem.. Very fine! Thats why Idecided to upgrade from 7.4 to 8.4. Bad idea:-( at first there is a migration to new database. Than is everything fine with the exception offolder-problems. Windowows show the folder on NAS, Digikam not. Some file are shown , other not. Copying files is not possible, writing into heic-files is not possible. I tested security problems, permissions etc. Working with admin rights, all this withoet solution. So it seems the best way to downgrade to the old version. I did. Bad idea:-( Remember : the database was upgraded an did not work with digikam 7.4. Now I am between the worlds. I have no chanc to use this fine software. Have you ever heard about this problem (without th exception of my last bug report) Can I do anything to manage this problem? Can you do anything to manage this problem? There is only one instance of digikam running. with only one user. Thank you for help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
