I have a similar issue since 6.0 came out, although mine is the entire
background. Right now my unfocused Konsole background is not transparent (and
it should be). If I move my mouse over, the entire background flickers for a
moment transparent and back to solid. If I click into Konsole/focus it, it goes
transparent. Moving the mouse, key strokes, and even command output (like
tailing a log) can make the background switch between transparent and not.
