I was able to reproduce this on KDE Neon - Wayland
1. I have a file near the top of the Desktop
2. I dragged it to the middle of the screen
3. It reverted to the original position after I released the mouse
This happens sometimes, not every time. It's fairly easy to reproduce if you
just drag an icon around multiple times
