Works for me, and I notice that you have ticked the checkboxes next to the
blend modes -- is it possible you did *only* that? You need to click on the
name of the blend mode while the corresponding layer is selected to actually
apply it - the checkboxes serve only to add it to your "favourite" blend modes!
