I never had the DPI forced to anything lower, because on my 4k laptop screen I need 2x scaling (192 dpi). The slider always stays at the default 100% (which makes the correct scaling on the 4k screen on wayland except for fonts), except if a FHD screen is connected. Maybe the slider doesn't set the font DPI if it is left at the default 100%? Anyways, will submit the another bug report!
