That's the nuclear option. I'd prefer if we did some more UI design work first
to find something that works out-of-the-box for both groups automatically. Only
if that fails would it make sense to add a user-configurable option IMO.

Maybe this whole feature itself should be automatically turned on or off based
on whether you're using single-click or double-click.
