Bug ID: 367529 Summary: make "reload" refresh all directories, not only the one in focus Product: krusader Version: 2.4.0-beta3 "Single Step" Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based) OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: m...@fork.pl Reporter: j22...@gmail.com In TotalCommander, there is a great option to force refresh of the contents of a directory (eg when new files are added, or timestamp is changed, etc.). There is even an option to force refresh when the application is in the background. Ideally Krusader would have those. But in principle, it would be great to have an option to "autorefresh" without the user having to reload every time. In the current state of affairs, every time I produce a new file (eg print to a PDF), I don't see it immediately. I have to press Ctrl+R to "reload". This is rather cumbersome, but even more because this _only reloads the panel in focus_ Therefore if I had the bad luck of having the wrong panel in focus I have to bring it first into focus (eg. click or tab), and only then I can refresh the contents of the directory. A working "autorefresh" or similar option would save all this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Open krusader with two panels (right and left sides). Open any file (eg text document) with your favorite application. 1. Make any change (using a non-krusader application) to the directory (eg in the left side), for example print the file to a PDF and place it (from the print dialog) into the left side panel 2. krusader does not show the new file 3. go to krusader and pressing Ctrl+R will refresh ONLY if the left panel is in focus. 4. if the right panel was in focus, then click within the left side, and press Ctrl+R again. Only now it reloads and shows the change (eg newly created PDF file). Actual Results: Only the focused panel reloads Expected Results: All visible panels refresh their contents Ideally, there would be an option to force krusader to show any change to any panel in any case, even when krusader is out of focus. Note: I'm not sure if this is the intended behavior, I think it's not super intuitive so I'm marking as bug. But maybe I'm wrong.. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
