is a great clue to the problem. I had always thought that the "skdjf" key
combination was unique to Plasma (it's what I've been using since I started
Linux years ago).

I forgot to add that, curiously, it seems that if I DON'T use the computer, it
doesn't crash. It's as if it only crashes when I'm using it (nothing that
stresses the computer, it's more programming, with hardly any access to the
hard disk).

Regarding updates, I can't establish a relationship between an update and the
onset of the problem, except for the NVidia drivers, which I couldn't install
and finally managed to do so.

Should I ask in an X11 forum or would it be more correct in an openSUSE forum?

Thanks to both
