Thanks for your report!
Due to many bugs and instability the "Auto Mask" effect is deprecated and
removed in MLT 7 (mlt is Kdenlives media backend). Consequently the Auto Mask
effect is removed in the next Kdenlive release 21.08 and I am going to close
this report.
You can e.g. use the "Motion Tracker" combined with a "Spot Remover" effect
instead.
