Bug ID: 437324 Summary: Setting the clipboard size to 1 creates issues in some software Product: plasmashell Version: master Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Clipboard Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: cyberjunki...@yahoo.com Target Milestone: 1.0 SUMMARY Setting the Clipboard size to 1 creates undesired effects in software like PCManFM or software with an address bar with a text box. Pressing Alt+D to highlight the addressbar flashes the selection once, and the last saved clipboard entry is lost. Similar issues erratically show up sometimes in Chromium (Chromium Privacy Browser in Fedora 34 running KDE Frameworks Version 5.82.0). Clipboard is erratically cleared, sometimes it copies the address from the address bar if you press Alt+D to highlight it. Pressing Ctrl+C repeatedly fixes it. Setting clipboard size to 2 and above fixes it too. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Configure Clipboard by right clicking the clipboard icon in the panel 2. Click on the Actions tab 3. Set Clipboard history size to 1, timeout is set to 8, all checkboxes set to off. OBSERVED RESULT Alt+D sometimes copies the text from the address bar, sometimes clears the clipboard EXPECTED RESULT Alt + D should only highlight the text bar, not copy its value ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Operating System: Fedora 34 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.82.0 Qt Version: 5.15.2 Kernel Version: 5.11.20-300.fc34.x86_64 OS Type: 64-bit Graphics Platform: X11 -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
