Especially bug 864 (https://github.com/taglib/taglib/issues/864) is a reason not to recommend TagLib 1.11.1 for Ogg/Vorbis files. There were also a few other minor issues with Ogg and FLAC files, which were fixed for version 1.12, which was released recently on 2021-02-16. There are quite a few Linux distributions which still have TagLib 1.11.1 and not 1.12, and this will continue for a while because Debian is in freeze.
