I tried to follow your suggestions however now it is saving not as a
transparence but now it is storing the png with a black background fill!

What format do you save to? PNG has this function, while JPEG doesn't because
you cannot save transparency in JPEG file, even in Photoshop, because JPEG
doesn't support transparency.
Make sure that while saving to PNG, the checkbox "Store alpha channel
(transparency)" is *checked*, otherwise it won't save the transparency.
