I don't use instant preview the results were with instant preview turned off. I did check it just in case I believe I mentioned it in one of the descriptions above but to be sure, instant preview makes things worse ;). With instant preview mode if I'm at 100% zoom and try to zoom out it freezes at 50% already, basically about every 25%.
