Oh yes. I would very much like this.
macOS implemented this by binding the functions in question to when you hold
down the keyboard's media playkack back/forward keys. So for example when you
held down the fast-forward key, it would skip forward in the current media file
by some number of seconds (I don't remember how many). I'd really like to have
that in Plasma too!
