GoPro's are known for taking hours of video, and who wants to watch through hours of slowmotion for that few frames you want? Anyways, I got the piece of video I wanted, and extracted it, then applied the effects as outlined on my video. On non-extracted footage, the effects work as expected. What is totally weird, though, is that the extracted footage plays fine in kdenlive, mpv and shotcut. I have a gut feeling that some important metadata is missing from the extracted footage, but I do not know how to prove it.
