Enabled it, and it came back. P.S. On a positive albeit unrelated note, Bug 410354 is no longer present on my system, I see all my tags, and able to navigate the tags:/ tree. Apparently, toggling balooctl was the required and hidden automagic, this shall be documented somewhere.
