Maybe that question is too trivial to ask, but do you get the message "The screenshot has been copied to the clipboard." after clicking on "Copy To Clipboard" in Spectacle? > perhaps you are not even running Plasma, or you are using another > clipboard manager? Could you tell us what desktop environment you are using and whether the clipboard applet is running?
