Then I installed Ubuntu Bionic. Ubuntu (gnome 3) stayed completely stable after being updated but Kubuntu (installed with sudo apt install kubuntu-desktop) became just as unstable as Neon user edition and Unity. It can't be that I am the only one that is using this hardware (on two laptops).
