The purpose for this would be to increase workflow for some users, if even incremental: (1) Flexibility. Using the handles to adjust the in-out points is great. There are some users, however, which are more mouse-heavy to edit, and are more comfortable with clearing the points and re-assigning them that way. Flexibility is one of the things that makes Kdenlive great. (3) There's plenty of space in the clip monitor toolbar for it.
