Bug ID: 378939 Summary: Icons-Only Task Manager & Multiple Monitors, No icons and other funny business Product: kwin Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: matthewma...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 105083 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=105083&action=edit All issues shown I recently starting taking my laptop (Dell XPS 13 9350) to work and plugging it into my monitor (USB-C adapter to HDMI cable to HDMI-DVI adapter). The main issue I have is that the Icons-Only Task Manager (side bar in image) does not show any of the apps I have open. In the image you can see that Chrome is running and it does not show up (nor do any other programs). Also, the Meta key does not open the Application Launcher like it usually does, and desktop icons flow behind the side panel (see: pdf icon in image). Clicking on the Application Launcher opens it as usual, and interacting with the rest of the side panel with my mouse works fine, too. Another strange issue is that if I set up the external desktop to the left of my laptop monitor (using the display manager), I am unable to drag windows from my laptop screen past my side bar and onto the other window. I can get them to peek over there, but they will stop moving when my mouse gets to the edge of the screen, and when I release my drag, it pops back onto my laptop screen. Telling my computer that the external monitor is above or to the right of my laptop is fine, and I am able to drag windows over there successfully. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
