End result: I actually click on the uninstall button of > the wrong item I don't think you are experiencing the exact same but as me, but it sounds similar. In my case, it doesn't even show a blue bar or anything once I click update. It'll show bars for the flatpaks and everything normally, but once it starts installing system packages, it's dead quiet. The only indication I even clicked start after that is the cancel button at the top of the windows, but it very much is installing updates in the background. It's just not communicating at all, whatsoever If I close discover while it's updating, it'll show a notification that it's still installing updates, but even then the progress bar doesn't work on the notification.
