Feel free to redirect me if this is not the appropriate place. I installed Tumbleweed a couple of days ago, and have played around a bit with Discover. So far I do not find the interface and interaction very clear or useable... weirdly enough, it seems to have a lot of the same or similar quirks that windows update has. Two of the big issues are: - it is not very clear what Discover is doing at any given moment - there might be activities happening in the background, or not, without those being clearly reported - some actions take a couple of seconds, or more, before they give feedback to the user (eg. by popping up a confirmation dialog). But there is no indication of this - the user is left wondering if, after having clicked somewhere, the app is actually doing what was requested Example 1: there are 63 updates available as part of a single "system upgrade" item. I select it, click "update all". 1. a blue bar appears telling me that a restart will be needed, but no progress bar / download indicator / cancel button / hourglass cursor. Arguably, the blue bar could/should appear the updates have been applied, not before. 2. nothing happens for 3-4 seconds 3. a dialog pops up asking me to confirm the licensing for proprietary invidia drivers Example 2: the list of installed software items gets updated by some background activity (again: no hourglass cursor or status advance indicator about this) while I am looking at it and trying to click on the "uninstall" icon for one item. End result: I actually click on the uninstall button of the wrong item -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
