But since their existence is being used as justification for the regression, I must note here that it's currently possibly to force GTK apps with CSD to instead use KWin SSD: https://codeberg.org/MorsMortium/GTK-NoCSD Currently that is only relevant for those who install it and customize their app launchers to use it, but it indicates that theoretically Plasma/KWin could offer a similar feature in the future. I use that project to "fix" Meld and Handbrake.
