In the past I have definitely had the "black screen with cursor" that could, at least sometimes, be worked around by dropping to a terminal and restarting plasma shell or some other magic command. But, at some point it morphed into, "black screen with no other option but to reboot". I was using Gentoo with OpenRC for ages. I thought maybe it was because of an OpenRC quirk or hidden need for systemd, so I tried Gentoo with systemd. No, luck. Then tried Kubuntu, no luck. And have settled on Arch for the last several months with no luck. I would open another bug report, but I am not encouraged that it would do any good. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
