Your userbase always has to change to another app on kde. That's a bad look not only for KDE and Ktorrent app, but the entire linux community to have this bug reported since 2012. It's probably not a terribly complicated fix, but someone at KDE decided it was a low priority probably back in 2012, and people complain on reddit and other forums since then about it. :) Might be worth fixing, just to make the organization look good to it's users!
