Visually corrupted text

SUMMARY

If I add text to a title clip and then click the center alignment button the
text becomes visually corrupted as shown in the attachment with filename of
after.png

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the title clip editor
2. Actively edit some text
3. The text box must be in edit mode (ie there is a blinking cursor)
4. Click the center alignment button

OBSERVED RESULT

The text becomes centered but has become visually corrupted/distorted becoming
mostly black.

EXPECTED RESULT

The text becomes centered and there is no visual corruption/distortion.

Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian GNU/Linux trixie/sid,

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I also encountered this problem with the flatpak version when using Debian
Bookworm.
