I wanted to add myself as an interested party for this feature. I have a
workaround I use which is possible because kdenlive nicely allows the user to
configure the path to the melt binary. On my Debian box I use a wrapper shell
script that invokes melt with the arguments passed to the script and executes
the installed melt using systemd-inhibit which gets a sleep inhibit token from
logind. It works well for me but obviously this is not portable to even all
Linux distros let alone everywhere that kdenlive can be used.
