The preview pictures might not be created by the upstream projects - but it
looks like the core issue is that there are System Settings icons for Boot
Splash options that aren't actually preinstalled, so it would seem like either
those icons should be removed or the splash screens should be fully installed.
Shifting this over to the Neon product so this can be tracked as part of the
distribution packaging there.
