Hi - following those steps, I cannot reproduce on my Fedora KDE 41 device.
Just to check, what filesystem path is being used by your operating system to
mount the USB drive? On my device, for example, it's /run/media/username/label
Also, what filesystem is used by that USB drive? (ex. exfat?)
