This seems similar to bug 485096, but I see that you are using a version that
should have the fix (fixed in 24.08.1). Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce the
bug.
Are you on Wayland or X11? If you are on Wayland, what is the output of
`wl-paste -l` after copying and while Spectacle is still open?
While Spectacle is still open, can you paste into a web browser like Firefox or
Chromium? Can you paste into a Qt/KDE app like KolourPaint or Krita or a GTK
app like GIMP?
