Personally, -1 from my side. I believe that we should make the virtual desktops
discoverable in other ways; that's why when you open the gridview, it tells you
what virtual desktops are and gives you the option to add one right away. The
whole point of hiding the virtual desktop applet with just one virtual desktop
was to minimize clutter and complexity for new users, who might not necessarily
understand nor want virtual desktops. I can see a scenario where they don't
understand the feature, accidentally click near the application launcher, and
finish up in another desktop without a clear understanding on how to go back. I
will close this as intentional for now, but I'm open to other opinions.
