Hi, which version are you using? https://sourceforge.net/p/jabref/patches/194/ by Nicolas Pavillon claims that a double click on a .bib file works. Under current Mac OS X it doesn't work. Let's see if we can fix that. If someone with a Mac and developer skills is here, please inform us ^^.
