Review Comment:
   @snazy If the creation of the synthetic namespace fails due to a concurrent 
request, the else condition subsequently reads the concurrently created 
namespace. (The same goes for tables/views.) Shouldn't this alleviate your 
concerns? Can you please elaborate on the potential race condition here?
