yes, this is not a bug but a feature I had to remove (without much publicity)
in MDEP-339 to fix critical bug where M3 resolution and dependency:tree were
not consistent
I hope I'll be able to add the feature back in the future, since I know it is
useful
in the meaning time, you can force maven-dependency-tree 2.4 use, since it
doesn't work so bad with M3, but you must know that there can be some
discrepancy
