I've committed a fix regarding this in
[r1380895|http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=revision&revision=1380895] which
makes sure that the error message is only output when there are any
sortColumnNames configured. Could you please try the deployed 2.8-SNAPSHOT
version?
