It's not the skin, but the maven-site-plugin which is responsible for the
version of the site-renderer.
With the siteskinner you don't have control over either of the versions, since
its purpose is to regenerate exactly the same site, but with a new skin.
With older version of the maven-site-plugin it can happen that the $headContent
is not set, causing this text to appear in the upper-left corner.
Current example is the
