Thanks, Vincent. To try this out I first built Doxia, then the PDF plugin.
Then I edited src/site/pdf.xml to include the version as above.
The result was the first bit of the literal property being used:
$ ls target/site/*.pdf
target/site/apache-continuum-${project.pdf
Can you add a test to show how it should work?
