Part of #541. Drops `maven-resolver-util` and `maven-resolver-transport-http` (provided, no compile-time use; Maven supplies the transport at runtime) and the `log4j-over-slf4j`, `jcl-over-slf4j` and `jul-to-slf4j` test dependencies, which nothing references.
